Zeta Potential Analysis

Measures the surface charge of particles in a suspension, which indicates stability and tendency to aggregate. Used in colloidal chemistry, nanotechnology, and formulation science to assess dispersion stability.

Nanoparticles dispersed in a suspension

What the measurement provides

  • Surface charge of suspended particles
  • Indication of dispersion stability and aggregation tendency

Sample requirements

  • State the nature of the sample (for example hazardous, volatile, or explosive).
  • Submit a stable suspension and state material composition (for example polymer nanocomposite or nanoparticles).
  • Only liquid samples are acceptable.
  • Record pH, concentration, and solvent on the proforma.

The official proforma title also includes particle sizer analysis. The published rate line is Zeta Potential Analysis.
